What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy provides services to individuals and populations
to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and functional
ability throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services
in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging,
injury, disease, or environmental factors. Functional movement is
central to what it means to be healthy.
Physical therapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality
of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion,
prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation.
This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social
well being. Physical therapy involves the interaction between physical
therapist (PT), patients/clients, other health professionals, families,
care givers, and communities in a process where movement potential
is assessed and goals are agreed upon, using knowledge and skills
unique to physical therapists

What makes Advanced Manual Therapy different?
At Advanced Manual Therapy Institute, we take a hand’s on
approach to physical therapy. Your first visit includes a thorough
evaluation from one of our Physical Therapists, which includes a
treatment plan and home exercises/stretches. Some of the techniques
used during your treatment might include hydrotherapy (hot/cold
packs), hands-on soft tissue, advanced mobilization techniques,
PNF assisted exercises, ultrasound, and more. We keep our ratios
small so all patients get the attention and treatment worth their
time and well-being.
Some of the health conditions that benefit from physical therapy
include:
• Work-related injuries including lower back problems or repetitive
stress injuries
• Arthritis, and other chronic conditions
• Orthopedic and injury surgical procedure therapy
• Sports related injuries and conditions.
• Burns, spinal cord injuries, or amputations
• Broken bones or other injuries from falls, sports injuries,
